"I'm in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana, it is love. And it's difficult to analyze love when you're in it."
In my book, there's no place better than Montana - the Last Best Place, Big Sky Country, the Treasure State - especially in the summer. It's this incredible mix of insane beauty and perfect dry temps. Us Montanans take our summers very seriously, because they are short and you never know when it may snow. For July, August, and portions of September, we are on the road, visiting family and enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
For the 4th, we met up with Jon's family for a reunion of sorts. All his siblings and their families were there. It was a packed house full of energy. Jack loved it. Daisy loved it. We had a great time. I have about a thousand photos to edit and I will get to it this week. But for now, I am doing laundry, snuggling with my boy, and getting ready for our next adventure.
Summer in Montana. Nothing like it.
