Jack Goes to the Symphony

One of our favorite summertime activities is the annual Symphony Under the Stars, a huge outdoor concert put on by the Helena Symphony. Everyone brings their blankets and lawn chairs early the morning of the concert and stakes out their place. Around dinner time, people start showing up to have a picnic while waiting for the concert to begin. About 15,000 people attend this concert every year (pretty big deal for small ole' Helena, Montana) and we weren't gonna miss it.

Jackpants needed some culture.

We sat with a big group from our church and we had so much fun.

The weather was absolutely perfect. Normally, it is so, so hot. But this year, we had a nice cool breeze.

There was no shortage of super cute kids.

And yummy treats were passed all around.

Jack decided he would much rather lay out on the soft, cozy blanket for a snooze.

The large crowd gathers on the Carroll College lawn, concert about to begin.

And we got some pretty great seats.

Beautiful night.

Perfect for taking pictures of little ones.

And the glorious Montana sky.

What a wonderful evening.

P.S. Jack slept most of the concert.

I always sleep when there is lots of things going on. I can't remember the last time I stayed awake through an entire movie. It just shows that Jack is super chilled. Good on you Jack!

What super-beautiful pictures! Sounds like a wonderful event. Thanks again for sharing.
