All The Way from China

My brother has lived in China for almost a decade. He has a beautiful wife, Kay, and every summer they come to visit. Now that we have Jack, it's so much fun showing him off. And when you see someone just once or twice a year, it's extra special to have some quiet, relaxing time together.

: photos and memories of our weekend :

Beautiful Kay

Bryce and Kay got married the summer Jack was in the NICU. Jack was the honorary ring bearer.

Jack is definitely a daddy's boy. When Jon is home, Jack is just glued to him and there are huge tears when daddy leaves.

And Auntie Kay absolutely LOVES Daisy Sue.

hmmm.... why can't I drink this??

Jon cooked a yummy spread in honor of my brother's birthday - ribs, chicken, cole slaw, and corn on the cob.

Then we needed some exercise after all that food. My mom always yells back at me "you better not be takin' pictures of my behind!"

Loving these summer evenings.

I wanna fly, daddy!

And for a birthday, you gotta have cake.

Which we enjoyed on our backyard deck, watching the sunset.

So blessed to have these people in my life.
