My Big Boy

Jack had his two year well child check up today. Both Jon and I were shocked to hear that Jack is actually on the growth chart! He has always been very tiny, even for his adjusted age. Jack is in the 10th percentile for weight and the 50th percentile for height. Our boy has made it!

Jack also got to display some of his walking skills in which the doctor was pretty impressed. I cannot believe the leaps and bounds Jack has made in the past two months. His speed of gross motor development has sky rocketed and for how much we have agonized, worried, prayed and hoped against hope that he would one day be mobile, Jack is once again, beating the medical statistics that set the bar so, so low.

Want some evidence? Check out what I shot tonight with my phone... and try not to cry. Tears of joy from us here in Jackland.

Yay Jack!!!!! It is truly amazing and inspiring to watch his developments, and to watch you and Jon as parents humbly going through your walk with him. (and now the literal walk with him!) Keep up the good work guys!

Congratulations Jack. You all must be so pleased, doesn't look too long before he'll be walking solo.

I'd just like to say a big thanks for keeping your blog updated for so long. We have just had our first baby born at 30 weeks, he's had various issues including a grade 4 brain haemorrhage (I found your blog through a post you made on a forum regarding this). We have stayed positive throughout and he is improving leaps and bounds, we know it's going to be a long journey - but as your family have illustrated it is one filled with joy.

Thanks again for keeping many people positive, we've also re-started our family blog to keep friends updated on our baby's progress.
