The Hand

Jack has a quirk. For a long time, we wondered if he would ever grow out of it. He likes to look at his hand. When he is overwhelmed, looks at the hand. When he is excited, looks at the hand. When he hears loud noises, looks at the hand. Last summer when Jack was around large groups of people, I would glance over at him and sure enough, looking at the hand. People would often comment "oh! he found his hand!" Like how a newborn realizes they have hands and feet. Nope, not Jack. It's just one of his quirks.

He doesn't do it near as often anymore, but when he does, it's because something unique is happening. I pulled out my camera, and he held up The Hand. I wonder what he's thinking?

That is such a cute picture of him. If it's a way to calm himself, it's a good one. I've seen some other calming behaviors that were much less adorable. :)

Hey I haven't checked into your blog since little Jack was in the hospital...so it was wonderful thanks to God that I check in and see what a beautiful healthy little boy he is now!

Praise God =)
