Day 25

Day 25: A picture of something that means a lot to you

This post is gonna totally embarrass my husband because it's about love letters and how much they mean to me.

When Jon and I started dating, we sent letters to each other because we lived five hours apart. I was in undergrad, doing an internship on a political campaign. It was fun and exciting. And Jon was my boss. Gasp! I know, I know. So we started to correspond. Through phone, email, and when we realized there was something more between us, love letters...

I pretty much save every card he ever gives me. Jon's letters quickly morphed into having a signature "Jessi" drawn out in bubble letters on the front. I love love love cards with my name written like this, because I know exactly who they are from. He is a fan of homemade cards and I end up getting cards from Daisy and Jack now, too. It makes each birthday, anniversary and holiday so very special to me. Sometimes I even find little notes around the house from my man. Oh the power of words.

The power of words INDEED! What a great post, even if it does embarrass Jon. :)

I love it! I have a box of love letters too! Now I get to add in ones with an APO stamp on them. Nothing like a love letter, handwritten, from your man! (Way to go Jon!)

So fun and what great memories! I have a collection also. Dustin and I wrote back and forth while I was in San Jose for 2 internships. I pull them out every once in a while...they make me smile!
