Day 7

Day 7: A picture of your most treasured item

No, not the refrigerator, silly! My most treasured item is, hands down, my collection of photos. Our refrigerator is covered with them, and right now, our living room is covered with them, too. I mentioned my winter project in my Day 5 post and I have gathered all my non-digital photos in the living room to scan. After I scan them, they'll be saved on our computer and on our stand alone hard-drive. I just love them that much!

Looking at a photo can evoke such emotion for me. The nostalgia and the feeling of what was going on when the picture was taken... one look and my memory blossoms. I have never had a good memory and pictures help me piece together the who, what, when and where.

I've always preferred photography as art and as opposed to a painting, a photo is much more thought provoking to me. Give me a photo over scuptures or a painting any day!

Here are some photos that are among my most treasured:

Holding Jack for the first time. One of the best and worst moments of my life.

Trust me, I could go on and on and on and on and on... I love my pictures. They make me happy. They are my most treasured possession.

I'm afraid I don't know the story of little Jack yet, but that is an incredible picture, and I can see how much you love him ♥

Nice photos! I'm seriously loving your 30 day series. Someday, if I get more organized with my photos, I may have to do this too. :)

Love it! The one of you and Jack...your expression is beauty. And the one of your dad and bro as cowboys cracked me up, as did the goofy ones of you and Jon. So glad you've documented so many of our times together because we know I'm not very good at it!
