More Good News!

I have told most all of my friends and family at this point, so I might as well talk about the "elephant in the room"- I am pregnant!! I am about 7 weeks along and am due sometime during the first part of September. Yay for September b-days! I have been dealing with quite a bit of morning sickness (whoever thought of this term is officially annoying and stupid! How about ALL day sickness!).

This is one of the reasons I haven't been blogging much. First, it was complete shock. Then, it was how am I going to tell everyone? Then, it was how am I going to tell my board (bosses)? Then, it was (and is) complete queasiness all day long. So, I have been thinking through all of this, not having much time to blog. I have a baby growing inside of me!!!... It is just a weird, completely normal thing. Very hard to explain.

I have my first Dr's appointment in less than 2 weeks. What an ordeal to even pick a Doctor!! Then you have all the questions about a midwife vs. Dr and everyone has their awesome opinion about everything. Needless to say, sometimes it is information overload - and I thought I knew a whole lot about pregnancy because of my line of work! (I know nothing...)

It is very good news though! We are excited and ready. In May we will have been married for 5 years, so I feel we are more rock solid then we have ever been. Jon will make a great dad. I knew this from the first time I saw him with his nieces and nephews.

Right now my goal is to make it through each day of feeling yucky and just focus on keeping myself healthy. That's all I can do at this point so early in the pregnancy. It is going to be a wild ride!

Congratulations! :-) I'm sorry about the all day sickness. :( That's what I had with all three of mine. I also had a nasty taste in my mouth, the only thing that helped was water flavored with lemon. Hopefully it will pass quickly. The advice doesn't end from here on out. :) It only gets worse the more obviously pregnant you become and then once you have the baby...but I ended up enjoying the extra attention. Take it, process it and then make it your own or throw it out as needed. You will be a great Momma!

WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! So exciting! It IS a weird feeling to know there's a little human child growing in your body. I, too, am sorry you're feeling sick. I had that too, pretty bad...so I can empathize. Very excited to see how things progress! And praying for that little baby as he/she grows big and strong!

Jessi, we are so excited for you both! You guys will be such great parents! Sweet little babies are the best! I am excited that Sam will have another cousin close in age. I hope the morning sickness doesn't last to much longer. Keep us updated on how the three of you are doing!
